Always spray the cloth first, not the computer. Use an non-ammonia based window cleaner for the screen. Always unplug the machine and remove the battery. Any liquid entering the machine may short it out and destroy it so be very sparing with any cleaner. There are special cloths make for screen cleaning if you don't have a very old soft tee shirt scrap. I use q-tips to individually clean the keys. Removing the upper case is also a good idea. Use canned air to blow any debris out of the keyboard and interior of the machine and fans.
