Special Alloys & Specialty Materials
Can you machine Inconel 718 / Hastelloy alloy parts?
A: Yes. We have dedicated CNC tooling and cutting parameters for Inconel 718, Hastelloy, Kovar, Invar 36, Waspaloy and other high-temperature & corrosion-resistant superalloys. These hard-to-cut materials require low cutting speed, special carbide tools and strict thermal control to avoid work hardening and deformation. We support custom machining from drawings.
What tolerance can you hold for Kovar / Invar 36 machined components?
For Kovar and Invar 36 low-expansion alloy, we can achieve ±0.002mm or tighter depending on part geometry. Invar is prone to thermal expansion variation, so temperature-controlled workshop and fixture design are applied for optical and semiconductor sealing parts.
Can you CNC machine PEEK and PEI plastic parts?
Yes. We machine unfilled and glass-filled PEEK, PEI and other high-performance engineering plastics. Special cooling and chip control are used to prevent melting, burrs and material stress. Suitable for insulation, fluid and medical prototype components
Are you able to machine aluminum nitride or alumina ceramic parts?
Yes, we offer precision CNC grinding/machining for ceramic components. Ceramic is brittle, so we use diamond tools and optimized fixturing to avoid chipping. Mainly for semiconductor thermal and insulating parts.
Can you machine tungsten copper and molybdenum alloy components?
Yes. Tungsten copper and molybdenum are hard and brittle materials. We process thermal sink, electrode and high vacuum components with strict surface and dimension requirements.
High-end Machining Process
What parts require 5-axis CNC machining?
Complex curved surfaces, impellers, vortex scrolls, complex cavities and multi-angle undercut features that cannot be completed on 3-axis machines. 5-axis machining reduces re-clamping error and improves precision for aerospace, energy and semiconductor parts.
What is Swiss type CNC machining suitable for?
Swiss screw machines are used for tiny, long thin shaft, bushing and pin parts with high aspect ratio. Ideal for micro components with tight tolerance, small diameter features common in medical, sensor and fluid control.
Can you machine ultra thin wall aluminum or titanium parts without deformation?
We can machine thin-wall parts, but thin wall limit depends on material, wall thickness and part size. We use custom fixture, low-depth cuts and optimized tool path to reduce clamping stress and deformation. We will evaluate manufacturability after reviewing your drawings.
Can you drill micro holes on CNC machined parts? What is the smallest hole size?
We can do micro hole machining. Minimum hole diameter and depth ratio are subject to drawing review. Deep hole and micro-hole jobs require special drills and cooling strategy.
What is turn-mill composite machining?
Turn-mill composite completes turning, milling, drilling and tapping in one setup. It eliminates re-clamping error for complex parts with both rotational and prismatic features.
Tolerance, Inspection & Surface Finish
What is your tightest achievable tolerance for CNC machining?
We can reach ±0.001mm for small, simple rigid parts under controlled workshop environment. For most production components, standard ultra-precision tolerance is ±0.002mm. Tolerance feasibility depends on material, part geometry and feature size. We will confirm during DFM review.
Can you provide CMM inspection reports for precision CNC parts?
Yes. We can supply CMM coordinate measuring reports, dimension inspection records as requested for aerospace, medical and semiconductor projects. Inspection cost is quoted separately.
Can you do micro deburring for precision components?
Yes. We offer micro deburring for tiny features, internal holes and hard-to-reach edges, especially for medical and fluid parts where loose burrs are not allowed.
Can you achieve mirror surface finish via CNC milling?
We can produce mirror-like finish on selected metals. Mirror milling depends on material, tool selection and vibration control. For optical-grade surfaces, additional polishing process may be required.
Prototyping, One-off & Low Volume
Do you accept one-off / single piece CNC prototype machining?
Yes, we accept one-off prototype jobs for R&D. Unit cost will be higher than mass production due to fixture setup and programming work.
What is your minimum order quantity for CNC machined parts?
No strict MOQ. We accept low-volume orders including 1–5 pieces for R&D samples. For mass production we can scale up accordingly.
How long does CNC prototype lead time take?
Typical prototype lead time is 3–7 working days, depending on material complexity, tolerance and post-processing requirements. We will confirm timeline after drawing review.
Reverse Engineering & Spare Parts / Old Equipment Replacement
Can you reverse engineer and replicate broken spare parts without original drawings?
Yes. We can scan existing parts, create CAD drawings and replicate custom spare components for legacy equipment. Dimensional inspection will be done before delivery.
Can you make custom spline shafts, helical grooves and non-standard eccentric parts?
Yes. We manufacture non-standard spline shafts, helical sleeves, eccentric wheels and custom transmission parts based on your drawings or samples.
Post-treatment
Can you provide full service including heat treatment and plating after CNC machining?
Yes, we offer one-stop service including vacuum heat treatment, hard anodizing, electroless nickel plating, vacuum brazing and polishing. We coordinate all post-processing.
Can you hard anodize titanium CNC machined parts?
Yes, we can perform hard anodizing and other surface treatments for titanium alloy parts.
